Summer Fun in the Wilds

Hi Friends,

Summer fun out here in the Wilds of Alaska.  This week we went on a clam digging venture.  We go to a secret location and found clam heaven.  We loaded down on as many as we could carry then of course the fun part cleaning and processing.  The rewards are worth the work though.  Living of the grid and living off of the land is a rewarding lifestyle.  It is comforting to know I don't need to go to the grocery store.  I can survive off of my garden and harvesting fish, wildlife and seafood.  

Of course we buy our main supplies from the store like rice, beans, flour and such, but our main food supply comes from living off of the land.  By no means are we exploiting.  We harvest enough to sustain ourselves and share with our family and neighbors.  For instance we have a neighbor that raises laying chickens for eggs.  He also raises chickens for eating.  Now when we eat store bought eggs they actually taste different to us after eating home raised eggs.  We hope you have been enjoying the adventure on our you tube channel and Facebook page.  We welcome you to spend some time with us in the Wilds of Alaska!

Back to the Bush!!

Hi Everyone!!


It was a long winter and spring full of adventures from the Jungle of Belize, and now back to the WILDS OF ALASKA~


I am on a new exciting adventure doing a lot of fun things and still living off of the grid... I just got done planting some veggies in my little greenhouse and excited for this years bounty. 


I will be doing some cool adventures including digging for razor clams, fishing in the rivers for salmon, trout and steelhead.  I will be going on some salt water adventures as well.  I have a really nice lodge off of the grid that I am at and have plenty of room for guests.  I invite you to join me for this summer and fall for some action packed fun in the Wilds of Alaska.

Give me Pleasure or Give me Death

When we are willing to make what wants to be made rather than make what we want, we become open to new directions.  We begin to be able to let some of the seriousness out of our artist's life, and we begin to let some of the playfulness back in.  It is an ironic fact that most great artists are inherently playful.  JULIA CAMERON



I think it is important to play and have fun in life.  I believe that is what is lacking in most peoples lives, and why so many people are unhappy.  Some people do not even know how to have fun.  If you don't then I think you should learn.  People made fun of me when I went to college and my major was Recreation.  I added a double major of computer technolgy just to look reputable to my parents.  They thought recreation was not a valid profession.  I will tell you we need recreation in our lives.  If we do not know how to have fun, than we need professionals that can help us.  My epertese is having fun.  I try to have fun in everything I do.  Recreation is a HUGE part of our economy as well!  How could they think that it was not reputabe to be in the recreation industry?



I did excell at recreation and having fun.  It is the business I have been in for the last 17 years.  I am still in the recreation business!  I just happend to change majors from guiding to writing.  I believe my writing brings value and joy to those that read it, or at least I hope so.  I enjoy sharing my stories and experiences with people that would never be able to do things like come to Alaska.  I have had so many people tell me that even though  they would never be able to do what I do, that they can live vicarously through me.  This gives me emmense satisfaction, to know that.

I am happy that my pictures and stories could light peoples lives and give them joy and pleasure.
